Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for whole health

Cherry Blossom Sketch

How does it work?

Acupuncture

The main goal of acupuncture is to promote self-healing, encouraging the body to overcome pain or illness. There are channels that run along the body, like an energetic map. Acupuncture needles are used to stimulate certain points. In Western Medicine's attempt to explain how acupuncture works, some believe messages are sent along the central nervous system or fascia. The mechanism may be a bit of a mystery, but we do know acupuncture promotes blood flow, releases the body’s natural pain killers, relaxes muscles, and wakes up the parasympathetic nervous system to reduce stress. In very broad terms acupuncture relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and restores homeostasis.

about me

Looking for acupuncture in Salida, CO? I offer personalized acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and integrative care to support pain relief, stress reduction, and whole-body wellness. My approach is thoughtful, practical, and rooted in both traditional healing and modern, evidence-informed medicine.

As a Licensed Acupuncturist serving Salida and the surrounding Chaffee County area, my goal is to help you feel better, move better, and live well—naturally. I combine the time-tested wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with functional and integrative approaches, addressing root causes—not just symptoms—to help you optimize health, improve resilience, and support long-term well-being.

I am currently beginning a Functional Medicine Certification and pursuing a Doctorate in Acupuncture with a focus on integrative medicine. This advanced training will allow me to blend traditional Chinese medicine with modern, whole-person approaches to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
